Formula Renault is a single seat racing formula using a range of engine sizes. Nino raced in the 1.6 litre championship competing in several rounds of racing at locations all over England. Each race has up to 20 other drivers competing for the race win.

Nino although new to this formula was able to quickly establish a points lead which he held for most of the season before reliability and Running costs started to take their toll.
